Button scores more points finishing fifth to win World Championship than the whole of last season

Jenson Buttons fifth places at São Paulo, Brazil, scored him 4 World Champions points which was enough to clinch him the Formula 1 World Championship, this is 1 more point than he managed to score in the WHOLE of the 2008 season!

In 2008, racing for the BAR Honda team, Button managed to score a grand total of just 3 points and finished in a miserable 18th position. Yesterdays 5th position got the British driver 4 points and has upped his total (with 1 race to go) to 89 points.

It goes a long way to show that the car that is beneath the driver makes such a huge difference to how they perform and it is thanks to Brawn GP having a great car at the start of the season that saw Jenson Button win 6 of the first 7 races and Brawn GP win the first 8 races!
