I was looking for a fun day out to take some clients and read about the
6th gear day on pistonheads.com.
 We booked an experience which I think was callled "best of the best"
culminating in driving a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, the Aston Martin DBS and the Ferrari 599.
On arrival at the day at Longcross proving ground (also known as Chobham Test Track) in Surrey I was very
impressed by the professional set up of the event. Our cars along with a
huge fleet of other exotica were all lined up. There was also a media
type truck with dvds/photos of the day available to purchase and also
some catering facilities.
We were then given a safety briefing and lap with one of the instructors
where we were given advise on the layout of the circuit and protocol of
the day.
We then proceeded to be taken out in each of the cars with an instructor
as passenger. The instructors were excellent at getting the most out of
you, pushing you a little further that you would have dared yourself but
within the realms of safety. They were also very knowledgable about the
cars which made the experience more interesting. The instructors also
gave you a critique at the end with advice on where you couild improve
and what you did well (good for the ego!!)
 After we had all driven we then lined up and travelled (at warp speed)
as passengers in the supercharged Ariel Atoms but the intructors. This
was a huge highlight of the day and everyone left thoroughly
exhilerated!
The inevitable adrenaline rush made us hungry for more and as there were
spaces available we purchased one more drive in a Lamborghini Gallardo
to end the day on a high.
All in all, a top day out, very professional & I thought good value for
money.
