It has taken Jenson Button 11 years to become a Champion again after the last time he held a Championship trophy as an 18 year old back in 1998 when racing for Heywood Racing team in the British Formula Ford championship.
Today, he is the Formula 1 World Champion and takes the title from fellow British driver Lewis Hamilton, the first time in 40 years of a back-to-back British champion since Graham Hill & Jackie Stewart did it back in 1968 and 1969.
The feat is even more impressive as it comes in the debut season for Brawn GP, headed by Manchester born Ross Brawn.
Hopefully it won’t be another 11 years for Jenson Button to be champion again and we hope that he will continue to win and get the form that he started the 2009 season with.
Formula-1 is the ultimate in driving, having had 2 World champions in Britain the last 2 seasons will make single seater driving experiences even more popular as people want to experience what it is like to drive a single seater race car like Jenson Button.
