Take a Ferrari Enzo and transform it into a Ferrari FXX

As far as supercars go the Ferrari Enzo is likely to be on almost everyones list of supercars to drive.

ferrari xx evolution 300x200 Take a Ferrari Enzo and transform it into a Ferrari FXX Then there is the Ferrari FXX, this is a modified version of the Enzo and has been limited to a production of just 30 of them with only those lucky enough being invited to buy one.
The thing with the FXX is that it is not road legal and owners can only drive it when Ferrari put on a driving experience day available for the owners to give their beast a drive, the owners don’t even get to keep it as Ferrari keep them stored for their owners too!

So for any Ferrari Enzo owners who would like to buy an FXX but would like to drive it on the road there is a solution. A German car turning company called Edo Competition take your Enzo and over the course of 3 months will transform it into what is in all extent and purpose a Ferrari FXX as they will change the looks and how it performs. Most importantly the transformation also means that it will be road legal, meaning that it can be driven where you want!

The engine has been increased from 660bhp up to 840bhp with the weight being reduced by 210lbs.
Edo Competition have called their tuned Ferrari Enzo the Enzo XX Evolution which won’t have made the guys at Ferrari happy, the fact alone that any Ferrari getting modified won’t impress them either.

So, all we need to hope for now is that one of the driving experience companies buys a Ferrari Enzo, pays the hefty fee to puts it through the transformation into the Enzo XX Evolution and then let us car fanatics take it on track. That said, we think a Ferrari driving experience in an Enzo alone would be more than most of us could dream of doing!

Free driving day for young drivers at Silverstone

Silverstone race circuit is the venue for a set of free driving skills sessions during October.

The event run by Rightracks is available for young people in South Northamptonshire as part of the Rightracks rural road safety initiative. There are 54 villages in South Northamptonshire that are part of the Rightracks zone which also includes towns such as Towsester and Brackley.
The scheme has been funded by the Department for Transport who awarded Rightracks £1.5 million for the project.

The first of the free driving day is the Rightracks Drive 16. This is targeting 16 year old who will get to experience driving for the first time at Silverstone circuit and this is on Tuesday 27th October.
What the day entails is a driving tuition with an expert in a dual controlled car, advice on how to find a driving instructor, drink drive awareness session, collision investigation presentation and an insurance workshop.

The next of the free driving days for young drivers is called the Rightracks CarKraft Experience and this one is aimed at drivers aged 17 to 24. This session takes place on Sunday 18th October and also takes place at Silverstone race track.
This free driving day entails an On-road driving assessement, skid car driving experience, ABS brakes driving experience and information about drink driving and also the dangers of driving at speed.

Choose a Karting experience to decide the best driver

Now let’s not beat around the bush with this one, the Ariel Atom is hardly the sexiest or best looking car and isn’t going to win any beauty contests when put up next to a Ferrari 360 or Lamborghini Gallardo is it.

The thing is the Ariel Atom hasn’t been built with it’s looks as the defining feature, heck it doesn’t even have any doors, roof or screen, it’s been with the aim of speed in mind and on them stakes it will be able to drive away from that beauty contest way faster than the Ferrari or Lamborghini can!

High Speed Passenger rides

Now we know that a passenger ride may not sound the best driving experience thrill to take part in but we still stand by the fact that they are absolutely brilliant fun.

It’s all well and good us telling you that they are great fun but why should you part with your hard earnt to go for a passenger ride?!

For anyone who rides rollercoasters knows that the thrill comes from it going fast and the feeling like you are close to the edge while in reality you are perfectly safe as you are strapped in and the roller coaster ride is stuck on a track that it doesn’t come off.
Now with a high speed passenger ride you get the speed of a professional taking you round a track (be it a supercar round a race circuit or a rally car around a rally driving track), they will push the car to it’s limits, so much so that you will feel that it is impossible what they can do with the car, unlike the roller coaster you don’t have the knowledge that you are on a perfectly set path as the driver chooses this for you. You will be driven right to the edge and this is something to experience.

Seeing the difference of a professional driver showing you what is possible behind the wheel of a car makes you realise (in most cases) that compared to them your driving skills are no way near close.

Seriously, getting to experience what it is like to be driven round a circuit by a professional driver is well worth the money and is a great experience for young and old alike. This one is even open to the children who can experience the thrill and probably won’t stop talking about it until they get their own driving license (hopefully they will also keep the handbrake turns and donuts to a track…)
