The creation and subsequent destruction of a Ferrari 458 all happened at the same location, the Ferrari Maranello factory in Italy.
One very lucky Ferrari owner picked their car up from the factory and reportedly the next day managed to crash it right outside the factory.
The Ferrari 458 Italia which can do 0-100kmh (62mph) in 3.35 seconds and can hit a top speed of 202mph. However, the “lucky” owner of this particular Ferrari 458 will have to wait now before they can get to experience their Ferrari again.
Have a look at the video below of the before and after shots of this Ferrari 458 crash.
A Lamborghini driver obviously really wanted the parking space that this Saab had as it quite literally drover under the Saab to get the space from it. OK, we have used a bit of artistic licence with that headline as we don’t really believe the Lambo driver was after that parking space!
The accident happened in Hollywood, California when the front the the Lamborghini Gallardo, worth £140,000 was so low that it went under the rear of the 2 ton Saab and picked up up.
Amazingly, it is impressive that the Lamborghini’s roof didn’t buckle and was able to take the 2 ton weight of the Saab which must be reassuring for any Lamborghini owners.
As far as Lamborghini driving experiences go, we think that not many of the driving experience companies out there are goin gto be rushing to add this one to their list of ones available!
A car that had 2 male occupants sank as they tried to drive along the canal!
The stunt happened as the Peugeot 206 drove along the Union Canal in West Lothian only to be stopped when it cracked the ice and sank. Fortunately the 2 male occupants got out, although they did flee the scene before police and other emergency services turned up.
Fortunately canal traffic was light with all the freezing weather and fortunately meant that the car didn’t have a head on collision with a canal barge!
The 2 occupants, aged 22 and 24 have been arrested and will be due up in court on counts of reckless conduct.
For anyone else thinking of driving on ice then booking an Ice Driving Experience is the safest way where you will get to drive a car on snow and ice on a special track so you can get your thrills this way.
A Top 10 of most annoying drivers has been compiled by the AA & Autocar and we are here to let you know who they are…let’s hope you don’t fall into one of the categories…!
Boy Racers – 42% of those surveyed found Boy Racers annoying on the road. Known for fast erratic driving, pulling donuts and handbrake turns on car parks, fast driving and generally taking too many risks!
Drivers who don’t say thanks - 41% get really annoyed by those who don’t act courteously on the road and acknowledge you if you have done something nice for them. It’s not hard to give a flash of your lights or raise your hand if someone helps you out on the road!
Drivers who show off - 33% find those who are behind the wheel and driving to show off to others very annoying. They tend to drive allot like boy racers with fast driving in an attempt to impress passengers.
Those who listen to loud music - 23% don’t like those who think we all want to listen to their music without realising we all have our own car radios to listen to our own tunes. Shut your car window as well if you are going to play loud music and at least give us some protection from your thumping beats!
White van man - 21% think the well known white van men drivers are the most annoying. Known for being rude and wanting to get where they are going as quick as possible even if it does mean they cut you up.
Sunday drivers - 20% of drivers can’t stand being stuck behind a Sunday driver. Tootling along not very fast down country lanes taking in the scenery and making your journey take twice as long!
School run mums – 16% (well actually 19% of males and just 12% of females) find school run mums very irritating. Blocking up roads outside schools when you are trying to get to work with all their big people carriers or 4×4′s!
Taxi drivers - 14% don’t like the erratic nature of taxi drivers, known for slamming on their brakes to do a pick up or to drop off at their destination, not necessarily stopping in the most convenient places.
Foreign lorry drivers - 12% of drivers think that foreign lorry drivers are annoying, with their disrespect for our laws on the road and not being as respectful as we would like!
Drivers with caravans - 9% don’t like caravan drivers! Everyone at some point must of being caught behind a car pulling a caravan, usually on a road where you struggle to overtake, that is if you aren’t at the back of the mile queue that has formed behind it!
If you fall into the boy racers category or the drivers who show off category then you may enjoy taking part in one of the driving experiences available where you will get to drive fast in fast cars on in a controlled and safe environment and where it is all legal!
However, if you are a driver who gets really angry with other drivers and can feel road rage building up inside you then perhaps a Tank Driving experience may be up your street, where you can get to drive a tank and be destructive such as crushing a car!
A Lamborghini police car is on it’s way to a show of emergency vehicles in Holland this weekend.
The Lamborghini is able to clock up a top speed of 202mph, which we presume it won’t be doing while driving to the show. The Lamborghini Police car is owned by the Italian police and is one of a handful that were given to them by Lamborghini themselves.
The car is equipped with various emergency features including a cold box that can be used to transfer human organs for donation and also an external camera that links to an internal computer to work out a cars speed and that can also send the data to a police station for the details of the vehicle to be checked.
Many believe that the Lamborghini police car is the fastest police car in the world although some believe that an upgraded Mercedes-Benz called the Brabus Rocket in Germany is faster and able to do 226mph, either way we don’t think that many will be able to outrun these Police supercars.
We think whichever police officers get to drive a Lamborghini as part of their job has got very lucky!
A new world land speed record for the the blind has been set at over 200mph by a South African man.
Hein Wagner already held a previous world record at 269km/h which he set in 2005 driving a Maserati Grandsport but had his record taken from him by a blind Belgian who managed 308km/h (192mph) in France driving a Lamborghini.
For this years attempt he broke it by driving a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black to 322.5km/h. Not only did he achieve the incredible speed and break the 200mph barrier but he kept the speed for over 1,000 meters.
The world record was done at Upington International Airport in Durbanville, South Africa. To make sure Wagner was on course he had his friend Ray Wakefield sat in the passenger seat next to him.
For anyone to drive 200mph is a huge milestone to achieve, but for a blind man this record goes a huge step further as he is having to rely on his own skills and his friends guidance to make sure they stay safe and we think this is a driving experience that neither driver or passenger is going to forget!
Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne the Black Sabbath star has finally passed his driving test at the 19th time of asking and at the age of 60!
He has only just managed to pass his driving test aftering sobering up and says in the past that when he would turn up for a test the examiners would say:
No Mr Osbourne! Come back another day, I’m not even getting in the car with you.
Osbourne also joked that he would turn up to the driving test with a bottle of vodka in his pocket, although we at Driving-Experiences.co.uk don’t believe that drink driving is a joking matter!
We want to know what the heavy metal star will be driving, a few suggestions we think would suit him would be:
Rolls Royce – only because we’d like to hear of another rock star driving a Roller into a swimming pool or something.
Mercedes CLK Black (Sabbath)
1969 Camaro SS – We can just imagine Ozzy in one of these!
A steam train that was pulling a train that had 31 passengers on board partially derailed on Monday on the Shropshire steam railway.
There was no injuries and all parts of the train and the steam train stayed upright. The incident happened as the steam train approached Hampton Loade station at a slow speed which has damaged part of the track. No emergency services needed to be called and the passengers on board were taken the remaining 4 miles of their journey by coach to Bridgnorth in Shropshire.
We don’t believe that the driver was on a steam train driving experience and this should not put off other steam train enthusiasts from having a go at driving a steam train or going for a steam train trip.
A Top Gear stunt involving an airship, a caravan and a Lamborghini ended with the airship crashing.
The airship was being captained by “Captain Slow” himself James May and had a caravan strapped to it and is thought to be the end of a race against a Lamborghini that was being driven by Richard “Hamster” Hammond.
The stunt was going to plan but string winds took the airship off course and it finally crashed half a mile away from it’s destination in a farmers field. And true to his nickname, Captain Slow crashed at a staggering 2Mph!
James May and the crew on board with him were all OK and the emergency services that were on standby were not needed.
We can only presume that Hammond who got to drive the Lamborghini won the race but we shall have to wait until November when the new series of the BBC 2 Top Gear show is broadcast!
